How Caymiye Works?
Caymiye combines household participation, project financing, risk monitoring and private-sector livestock input delivery into one structured resilience mechanism.
Enroll →
Eligible pastoral and agro-pastoral households are registered, their livestock holdings verified, and up to 5 TLU enrolled under Caymiye.
Monitor →
Approved drought, rainfall, forage and vegetation indicators are monitored for the household's designated Caymiye Risk Zone.
Contribute →
The beneficiary contributes the premium, and the project contributes the rest, creating a total protection value of $150 per household.
From Trigger to Livestock Support
When predefined drought or forage conditions indicate severe livestock stress, Caymiye moves from risk monitoring to verified activation and timely delivery of essential livestock inputs.

When predefined risk thresholds are reached, the trigger is technically verified and authorized before benefits are activated.
Redeem
The beneficiary redeems the entitlement through UGUB or approved providers for eligible feed, nutrition and animal-health inputs and services.
